On December 26th, the release conference for the construction application and digital transformation achievements of the "KunAn" large model in the nonferrous metals industry, co-hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Chinalco Group, was held in Beijing.

At the conference, a launch ceremony for the "KunAn 2.0" artificial intelligence large model in the nonferrous metals industry was held. Chinalco Group introduced the application and construction status of the "KunAn" large model and showcased some of its digital construction achievements.

Chinalco Group has facilitated the deep integration of AI technology innovation and industrial innovation, demonstrating and leading the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the industry. On December 26, 2024, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Chinalco Group jointly released the first artificial intelligence large model "KunAn" in the nonferrous metals industry and 18 scenarios with potential for industry promotion. In 2025, Chinalco Group has extended the reach of AI into core industry sectors, advancing the construction of over a hundred application scenarios, of which 52 were officially announced at this event. Eight high-quality datasets within the industry have been established, achieving remarkable results in scenario applications across all fields.

The launched "KunAn 2.0" not only represents an iteration from version 1.0 but also signifies a deepening of understanding, a leap in capability, and an expansion of the ecosystem. Guided by national strategic needs and led by addressing industry pain points and challenges, Chinalco Group has deeply embedded AI technology throughout the entire chain of the nonferrous metals industry, driving transformations in business processes such as geological exploration, mining, smelting, processing, and recycling utilization, accelerating the cultivation of new productivity, and achieving comprehensive transformation and upgrading.

The "Digital Human Xiao Kun" created by Chinalco Group made its debut at the conference, serving as both the host for the achievement recommendation segment and a "smart guide" in the exhibition area, characterized by its ability to move, speak, understand business, and think.
