On November 5, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai. During this year’s CIIE, Chinalco’s subsidiaries signed 24 procurement agreements with companies from seven countries—Australia, Switzerland, Chile, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom. The total contract value marked a year-on-year increase of 12.34 percent, setting a new historical high for the Group’s participation in the expo.
As the world’s first national-level expo dedicated exclusively to imports, the CIIE has, over the course of eight years, evolved into a pivotal window for building China’s new development paradigm, a key platform for advancing high-standard openness, and a globally shared international public good. It has earned widespread recognition from industry players worldwide. This year’s CIIE has once again set a new record for the number of participating companies.
Chinalco has participated in the CIIE for eight consecutive years, consistently adhering to the principle of “open cooperation and mutual benefit.” The Group has deeply integrated itself into global industrial and supply chains and accelerated international collaboration. To date, Chinalco has signed over 140 cooperation agreements with more than 50 international companies worldwide, covering key areas such as resource development, technology transfer, equipment procurement, and trade logistics—yielding substantial results and signifying a significant new breakthrough in optimizing and upgrading its global procurement layout.
Looking ahead, Chinalco Group will continue leveraging the CIIE as a platform to deepen collaboration with global partners, driving higher-quality development through higher-level openness and contributing further to the stability and smooth functioning of global industrial and supply chains.
