Recently, with the successful installation and commissioning of a brand-new 160 kVA transformer in downtown Boffa, the power outage issue that had plagued local residents for days was completely resolved. The Governor of Boffa Prefecture in Guinea made a special trip to Chalco Guinea's headquarters to express his gratitude, stating: "Chinalco's rapid response and professional handling not only promptly restored power supply, but also demonstrated the sense of responsibility of Chinese enterprises."

On July 17th, Chalco Guinea received an emergency assistance request from the Boffa prefecture government. Affected by continuous heavy rainfall, the Boffa city's main transformer experienced severe failure, causing power supply interruptions in parts of the urban area, seriously affecting citizens' normal lives and business operations.

Chalco Guinea took this livelihood issue very seriously and immediately activated its emergency response mechanism, forming a repair team that rushed to the scene. After comprehensive testing and diagnosis, it was confirmed that the original transformer could not be repaired and needed immediate replacement. The company coordinated with suppliers overnight and completed the procurement and transportation of the new transformer within just 24 hours.

On the morning of July 19th, the repair team began installation of the new equipment. After 5 hours of intensive construction, power was successfully restored that afternoon. Local power bureau technicians particularly noted that the newly installed transformer has superior performance and will significantly enhance the stability of the regional power grid.

"Thank Chalco Guinea for its help in restoring our electricity so quickly!" said excitedly Amadou Diallo, a resident of Boffa City. During the power outage, his family's small store had to suspend operations, and food in the refrigerator spoiled due to the power failure. "Now the new transformer operates stably. Children can study peacefully at night, and the store can operate normally again."
