Recently, the domestically developed and produced copper rolling oil by Chinalco Group has met or exceeded all technical indicators of imported counterparts, significantly enhancing both the quality of copper processed products and production efficiency. This milestone signifies that China has comprehensively mastered the core technology related to copper rolling oil, ensuring the security and stability of the metal processing industry’s industrial and supply chains.

Copper rolling oil is a type of industrial medium, also known as metalworking fluid. Serving as critical auxiliary materials in metal processing, industrial media products are primarily used to improve metal processing quality and boost production efficiency, playing an indispensable role in metal manufacturing processes.

Previously, China’s metal processing industry heavily relied on imported industrial media products. To enable more metal processing enterprises to adopt domestically produced alternatives, Chinalco Group has dedicated efforts in recent years to achieving independent and controllable production technologies for industrial media products, including copper rolling oil.

As of now, the newly developed copper rolling oil has been fully implemented across four production lines at Chinalco Huazhong Copper, helping the enterprise achieve a comprehensive cost reduction of 16.09%.
