On April 24, the China International Contractors Association released the 2024 list of China's Top 100 Overseas Engineering Contracting Enterprises, with China Aluminum International Engineering (CHALIECO), an engineering technology sector and a holding subsidiary under Chinalco, securing the 65th position.

For years, CHALIECO has adhered to its "Technology + Internationalization" development strategy, strengthened technological leadership, and deepened its presence in overseas markets. It has delivered landmark projects such as the Nhan Co Alumina Project in Vietnam, the Venezuela Electrolytic Aluminum Project, and the EPC contract for Indonesia’s Mempawah 1-million-ton alumina project, achieving full life-cycle management from project development to execution. In 2024, the company optimized its business structure, driving both quantitative growth and qualitative improvement in overseas markets. Its newly signed overseas contracts surged by 65.09% year-on-year, while overseas revenue reached RMB 4.133 billion, hitting a record high. In the first quarter of this year, CHALIECO successfully won the bid for the Simandou Iron Ore Mining Operation and Maintenance Project in Guinea, marking a new breakthrough in overseas market expansion. The company has fully leveraged its integrated advantages across the non-ferrous metals industry chain—from engineering design to equipment manufacturing—demonstrating robust momentum in overseas business development.

The Top 100 Overseas Engineering Contracting Enterprises list is compiled by the China International Contractors Association based on annual revenue from member companies. CHALIECO’s inclusion underscores its comprehensive capabilities and international competitiveness in overseas engineering, laying a brand foundation for further global market expansion and strategic partnerships.
