On June 16^th, the 2008 Olympic Torch Relay reached the downtown of Chongqing. Zhao Shiqing, General Manager of SWA of CHINALCO, and Que Jirong, an engineer from SWA, were honored as the 8^th and the 140^th Torch Carriers, and together with the rest 206 people took part in the Relay. Over 40 staff representatives from SWA went to witness the Relay, expressing their best wishes for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and our motherland on behalf of all SWA staff. Zhao Shiqing indicated to “relay” the Olympic notion of ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’ to his colleagues and their work. They will give life to the notion by building a stronger enterprise with better and rapid growth, making more contributions to revitalizing China’s downstream aluminum industry and promoting the economic development in Chongqing.
