Aurukun Aborigines Community Delegation of Australia paid a visit to CHALCO Guizhou branch from June 14th to 17th, and received warm welcome from our colleagues.
On the morning of June 15th, the visitors made a tour to the second mine area and the rehabilitation area. They were greatly attracted by the green hills and woods after reclamation, and sang high praise for the rehabilitation of the mined area and restoration of the natural ecology. In the afternoon, they visited the No. 7 Potroom and No. 4 Casthouse. The advanced equipment, the neat and agreeable working conditions made a good impression on the visitors, and drew much admiration from them.
Afterwards the visitors and the representatives of minority nationalities from Guizhou Branch held a meeting together, exchanging ideas and views on mine development, relocation, ethnic policies, ethnic languages and dialects, and other topics. Our Australian guests showed great interest in the development notion of “Blue Sky, Green Earth, Harmonious People, and Prosperous Enterprise” by CHINALCO Guizhou Branch. They believe that it is the direction that an enterprise should move towards. The members of the Aurukun Aborigines Community Delegation have developed new understanding of CHINALCO through the exchange, and expressed their support to CHALCO’s Aurukun Bauxite Project in Australia.
